Point of reference for tourism on the coast in Tuscany, here we find the perfumes and beauties typical of the region and famous all over the world.
The area is particularly frequent throughout the year for walks and excursions in the nature thanks to the Mediterranean climate with the presence of the sea. On the Etruscan Coast and in its vicinity there are some of the most beautiful natural areas, oases and protected Italian reserves: remember among all the Tomboli di Cecina, well 15 km of dense vegetation where many species of plants and animals coexist to form a unique eco-system, the Oasis of Bolgheri and the Coastal Park of Rimigliano.
Crystalline sea bathes the white beaches of Vada and Castiglioncello, along the coast alternate sand and rocks, behind which there are vast and relaxing shady pine forests.
Where the coastal area ends, large fields are cultivated mainly with vineyards, in fact, in the hinterland of the area the Wine Route extends. This territory has a long tradition of good taste for both food and wine, some bottles of red are known and appreciated internationally: just think of the DOC wines of Bolgheri, Montescudaio and Val di Cornia.
The typical products of the area can be bought and tasted in the same producer countries. The historic villages, many of Etruscan origin, scattered throughout the territory offer enchanting views of the rolling hills cultivated to the blue sea.
Traveling along the coast and inland it also happens to come across historical finds from the Etruscan period, in several villages there is an Etruscan Museum that displays objects, weapons and pottery found in the area of competence. Then there are the Necropolis, more or less vast, left to witness the passage of this ancient people, still partly mysterious, fused with the Romans.
